Wagha Border:

Flags from both countries get lowered at sunset everyday. You can see Indian tricolour and the Pakistan's flag coming down diagonaly.

Once that happens, the gates get closed and the ceremony ends.

You can also see the number of people at both ends of the gate who are witnessing the show. Must visit for everybody.

A proud momment!

All of us hanging on to the Gate that seperates India and Pakistan @ Wagha border.

There were about 5000 such people just waiting to get closer to the gates so that they could take some pics.

We were the lucky ones!

We were there exactly on the Republic day!. We got an opportunity to see the entire excercise where our Jawans match and exceed the clock-work precision of the Pakistani side.

Night of Day1 at Amritsar.

The night was cold and there was this bonfire right in front of the hotel where we stayed.

All of us literally fell into the fire to capture any bit of warmth that got generated from it. Temperature plummetted to 2 deg C that night !

Day 2 at Amritsar. This is the Jallianwallah Bagh.

The 'Martyr's well' is where the people tried to jump in to get saved from the bullets of the English army when General Dyer blocked the only enterance to this park and opend fire on the people who assembled to participate in a peace activity.

This is the stage where the speaker of the peace rally was giving his speech.

The english soldiers opened fire from about 300 feet from the point where we are directly looking at.

About 2000 people got killed here.

We are standing in a building where the you can see actual bullet marks (red wood frame), fired by the english soldiers killing 2000 men and women in Jallianwallah Bagh, during a peace rally.

Team enjoying cooked sweet potato on one of the roadside gaadi shops.

One of the dishes that is a must try when folks visit North India. Its got great taste and its tangy with a bit of lemon on it. Slurp!
